Lirik Lagu Sarawak Ibu Pertiwiku

Lagu Ibu Pertiwiku adalah lagu kebangsaan negeri Sarawak. Lagu ini diperkenalkan serentak dengan pengenalan bendera rasmi negeri pada tahun 1988 sempena hari kemerdekaan Sarawak yang ke 25 tahun. Lagu ini telah dicipta oleh Dato' Haji Wan Othman dan liriknya ditulis oleh Ismail Hassan.

Pada tahun 1988 saya berada di darjah 3. Pada masa tu ingat lagi cikgu muzik mengajar kami lagu ini dan kami mula menyanyikan di waktu assembly (perhimpunan) sekolah. Terasa kekok namun dek kerana lagu ini sedap bunyinya maka boleh layanlah juga. Nak pula menyanyi beramai ramai memang seronok.  Pada masa tersebut, kami tidak diperkenalkan dengan sejarah lagu tersebut . Mungkin juga cikgu ada bagitahu tapi saya yang tidak ingat.
